The packaging plan established by Nexteck defines the packaging requirements both inside and outside the EPA according to ANSI/ESD S541 or the contract, purchase order, drawings, or other documents necessary to meet customer requirements. According to ANSI/ESD S541, the test methods and test limits for the various types of electrostatic discharge (ESD) protective packaging used by the organization are summarized in the table below. Packaging considered "single-use" shall undergo the same product qualification and shall meet the corresponding test methods and test limit requirements as outlined in the table below.
When ESDS items are placed on packaging materials and work is being performed on the items, the packaging materials are considered worksurfaces. In this case, the worksurface requirements for grounding resistance must be applied.
